Board of Commissioners

Role & Responsibilities

The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners provides leadership and policy direction for all County activities. The Board is comprised of 11 members elected every two years from districts of equal population. The Board has established four, five-member standing committees and a special committee on Technology to discuss and direct County policies:

  • Finance and Administration Committee
  • Health and Human Services Committee
  • Personnel Committee
  • Planning and Policy Committee
  • Technology Committee

Meetings of the Board of Commissioners and its Committees are open to the public. The Board meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Room at the Administration Building in West Olive.
