How to Apply for County Job Openings

In order to ensure your application is properly processed it is important to remember the following:

Candidates interested in applying for one of the listed job opportunities will be required to submit a County application. Please make sure you always provide us with the correct job title for which you are applying. Applying online is the preferred method.

Applications are not retained for future openings. Should you desire to apply for future vacancies, please apply online or resubmit a county application for each opening that occurs.

Applications should be completed online. Applications are also available for download. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. It is the policy of the County that requests to mail applications cannot be honored. Online applications are preferred otherwise completed applications may be dropped off at the Human Resources office or mailed in care of:

Your application and/or resume MUST be received by 5:00 p.m. on the closing date as indicated for each open position. We will however accept applications that are postmarked on the closing date. Additionally, you may submit your application via FAX at 616-738-4082.

The Human Resources Department will notify you via phone should you be selected for an interview. Applicants selected for an interview will be required to complete a county application and provide two written professional references.
