How to Apply for County Job Openings
In order to ensure your application is properly processed it is important to remember the following:
Candidates interested in applying for one of the listed job opportunities will be required to submit a County application or resume. Please make sure you always provide us with the correct job title for which you are applying. Incomplete or unsigned applications will not be considered.

Applications are not retained for future openings. Should you desire to apply for future vacancies, please resubmit a county application or resume for each opening that occurs.
Applications may be picked up only at the Ottawa County Human Resources office. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. It is the policy of the County that requests to mail applications cannot be honored. Completed applications or resumes may be dropped off at the Human Resources office or mailed in care of:

Your application and/or resume MUST be received by 5:00 p.m. on the closing date as indicated for each open position. We will however accept applications that are postmarked on the closing date. Additionally, you may submit your application or resume via FAX at 616-738-4082. At this time we are NOT accepting applications via the Internet.
The Human Resources Department will notify you via phone should you be selected for an interview. Applicants selected for an interview will be required to complete a county application and provide two written professional references. Some positions may also require a driving record check and/or criminal history check. Additionally, clerical applicants will be given a typing test at time of interview.
