Department Overview

The primary functions of the County Treasurer and staff are:

  1. Custodian of all County funds
  2. Record the revenue of the County
  3. Collect delinquent property taxes and tax foreclosure
  4. Custodian of all property tax rolls
  5. Property tax certifications
  6. Provide a public information center for taxes
  7. Manage the County dog license program.

The County Treasurer is a member of the County Elections Commission, County Plat Board, County Tax Allocation Board, Ottawa County Economic Development Corporation and the Ottawa County Michigan Insurance Authority.
