Journey Mentoring Program
Mentoring opportuntities:
- Mentor a court youth, minimum one year involvement
- Youth visitor (at Juvenile Detention Center)
- Internship
- Recruitment/ evaluation assistant
Citizens Council
- Represent the public’s concerns to the court and communicate the court’s issues to the public, governmental bodies and other concerned agencies.
- Become well informed about the services, problems, and needs of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court
- Assist in the identification of resources needed to carry out existing court programs and the implementation of new programs.
- Membership is for one year term, renewable for up to three years
- Six meetings a year
Foster Care
- Licensed by the State of Michigan
- Shelter care (maximum of two weeks)
- Long-term foster care
- Training and support available
Internship
- Undergraduate and graduate students internship
- Opportunities available in all areas of Circuit Court
- LEIN check required
