Project Updates

10/02/2015 Update
Contractor is substantially complete on both Park West Contracts 1 and 2 by this evening.
James Street will be opened up this evening. Construction signing will be picked up starting next week.Contractor will have some trees to plant, permanent sign placement, and miscellaneous clean up items the next couple weeks.
Note: Contractor completed work requiring traffic control for contract 1 one month ahead of anticipated schedule. Contract 2 was substantially complete on schedule as well.

9/25/2015 Update
Contractor plans on substantially completing the work on both Park West Contracts By October 2, 2015.
Anticipated work for the next Week
Contract 1:
- Complete drive ways on Leisure Acres and remaining restoration.
- Mainline paving on James is up to leveling course. Top paving scheduled for Monday. Then restoration to be completed. James anticipated to be open to traffic by October 1st.
Contract 2:
- Quincy and Estate scheduled is opened to traffic.
- One patch to repair on Quincy next week.
- Complete drive way and restoration on Quincy and Estate Drive.

9/18/2015 Update
Contractor plans on substantially completing the work on both Park West Contracts By October 2, 2015.
Anticipated work for the next two weeks: (Weather permitting)
Contract 1:
- Complete drive ways on Leisure Acres and remaining restoration, scheduled for Tuesday September 22nd.
- Complete drives and bike path on James Street starting Tuesday September 22nd. Mainline paving on James scheduled for the end of next week with finishing up on the weekend. Then restoration to be completed. James anticipated to be open to traffic by October 1st.
- Complete all restoration and touch up work for all of contract one in two weeks. October 2nd.
Contract 2:
- Complete roadway paving/patching on Quincy, scheduled for Monday September 21st.
- Complete drive way and restoration on Estate Drive, scheduled for Tuesday September 22nd.
- Quincy and Estate scheduled to be open to traffic September 22nd.
- Complete all restoration and touch up work for all of contract two in two weeks. October 2nd.

8/07/2015 Update
Work Completed last two weeks:
Contract #1- Leisure Acres pipe work and re connection of utilities continued. Curb and Drive way replacement started today.
- Pipe and bioswale completed on Quincy, minus Estate Drive crossing.
- Drive way paving happening today Quincy and Riley.
Anticipated work for the next two weeks:
Contract #1- Continue pipe work down Leisure to Gold Crest. Continue with Driveways and start restoration and irrigation replacement.
- Shoulder work on Quincy, and crossing at Estate drive. Restoration and paving remaining approaches.

7/24/2015 Update
Progress this last week.
Contract #1- 168th pipe and bio swale work Completed and opened to traffic.
- Leisure Acres removal and start of pipe work.
- Pipe and bio swale continued on Quincy.
Anticipated progress next week.
Contract #1- Continue pipe work down Leisure Blvd. Re-connecting utility services.
- Final restoration and top paving along Quincy, with the exception of Tall Grass Court West to allow for force main crossing from Estate Drive.

7/17/2015 Update
Progress this last week.
Contract #1- 168th pipe and bioswale work substantially completed on 168th from North of Lakewood to James. 168th was opened today.
- Pipe and bio swale continues on Quincy.
Anticipated progress next week.
Contract #1- Starting Leisure Acres Monday July 20, 2015. Anticipate 7 weeks shortened to 6 weeks with 2 crews and working Saturdays. Want to be done before Labor Day.
- Finish pipe work on Quincy, shaping bio swale and restoration work.

Contract #1- 168th pipe and bioswale work continued on 168th from North of Lakewood to James.
- Paving and restoration work on Mrs. VanKampens between Riley and Greenly.
- Pipe and bioswale on Greenly completed and open to traffic.
- Pipe and bio swale started on Quincy.
Anticipated progress next week.
Contract #1- Paving 168th between Lakewood and James open to traffic Saturday July 18, 2015.

- Paving and restoration on 168th between Perry and Lakewood. 168th open to traffic from Perry to Lakewood on 6/26/2015.
- Lakewood and 168th intersection pipe work and paving completed and opened to traffic on 6/19/2015.
- 168th pipe and bio swale work continued on 168th from North of Lakewood to James.
- Completed pipe and bio swale on Riley west of 160th to 168th, opened to traffic.
- Pipe work on VanKampen between Riley and Greenly.
- Pipe and bio swale on Greenly completed.

6/19/2015 Update
Contract #1
- Final grading and restorations prep on 168th from Perry to Lakewood.
- Lakewood intersection Crossing.
- VanKampen work, and restoration on Riley.
Anticipated progress next week.
Contract #1- Lakewood intersection scheduled to be paved today, and opened to through Lakewood traffic by tomorrow June 20th at Noon.
- Top course paving on 168th from Perry to Lakewood and final restoration scheduled to be completed and open to traffic by Wednesday evening June 24th.
- Bio swale and pipe work will continue on 168th from Lakewood to James. (Projected open to traffic is July 18th, 2015)
- Final Restoration and paving on Riley and VanKampens to be completed and open to traffic by Tuesday evening June 23rd.
- Greenly will be closed to traffic from 160th to 168th on Wednesday morning June 24th. (Closure anticipated to be just over 1 week)
- Start pipe and bio swale work on Greenly.
- Final grading and restorations prep on 168th from Perry to Lakewood.

6/12/2015 Update
Contract #1
- Pipe, dewatering, and bioswale working north along 168th concentrating in front of the school to complete pipe work. No work was performed in front of school June 4 and 5 (last two days of school).
- Road paving (west lane) and restoration on 168th from Perry north to Randall. Northbound still gravel between Randall and Lakewood.
- Pipe and bio swale work continued on Riley between 160th and 168th.
Anticipated progress next week.

- West lane of 168th from Perry heading north to south of School was milled and paved this week.

- Closed and Detour traffic on Riley between 160th and 168th

Anticipated progress Next week.
Contract #1- Continue laying pipe and shaping bio swale along 168th between Perry and Lakewood. Will be working tomorrow (Saturday) to a road crossing closer to the school, to minimize disruption to school traffic.

- Vegetated swale between Riley and Greenly including topsoil, seed, and mulch blanket addressed side slopes.
- Traffic and detour route set up on Riley between 160thand 152nd, started pipe and bio swale work.
- Continue laying pipe and bio swale along 168th between Perry and Lakewood.
- Road aggregate base and restoration on 168thfrom Perry heading north.
- Pave asphalt base on 168th from Perry to just south of School (Lakewood).
- Finish pipe and bio swale on Riley East of 160th, restoration and Paving, anticipating to open to traffic Friday 5/22/2015, with some possible clean up to take place the following week after the holiday.
- Closure of Riley between 160th and 168thtentatively scheduled to start week of May 26th.

Please Note: It should also be noted that Consumers had crews out trimming and removing trees inside of Park West Drain Road Closures. This is for their maintenance operations, all tree removals required for Park West drain have been completed.

4/24/2015 Update
We are going to be 1 week behind on 160th. We will NOT be closing Riley between 160th and 152nd on May 4th. We will be closing it on May 11th.
Contract 1
- Perry at 168th crossing with pipe is now scheduled to be completed tomorrow with Perry open to local traffic from 168th tomorrow afternoon.
- Finish grading on Perry, restoration, and preparation for paving bike path scheduled for the next 2 weeks. Perry anticipated to be open to traffic May 8th.
- Pipe work, water services will continue on 168th from Perry to Lakewood.
- Continue pipe and Bio Swale on 160th working towards Riley is scheduled for the next two weeks.
- Towards the end of the next two week, preparing for traffic control on Riley between 160th and 152nd, now anticipated to start May 11. (Detour set up then)
- Perry at 168th crossing with pipe is now scheduled to be completed tomorrow with Perry open to local traffic from 168th tomorrow afternoon.

4/20/2015 Update - Progress of work last two weeks.
Contract 1
- Traffic control is set-up with Perry closed between 160th and 168th.
- Set up traffic Control on 168th between Perry and Lakewood.
- Dewatering, Pipe and Bio Swale shaping on Perry St. almost to 168th.
- Utility Location and water service work on 168th has started.
- Milling/pavement removal on 168th starting today. (Will leave pulverized pavement for access to school from Lakewood.)
- Traffic control is set up with 160th closed between James and Riley.
- Clearing was completed on 160th
- Open Bio Swale installed on 160th, starting pipe work, working towards Riley.
Contract 1- Cross Perry with pipe on Monday, this will be full closure of Perry, anticipated for 3 days. All home owners on Perry received letter stating that there will not be access from 168th and come in via 160th.
- Finish grading on Perry, restoration, and preparation for paving bike path scheduled for the next 2 weeks. Perry anticipated to be open to traffic May 8th.
- Pipe work, water services will continue on 168th from Perry to Lakewood for the next two weeks.
- Continue pipe and Bio Swale on 160th working towards Riley is scheduled for the next two weeks.
- Towards the end of the next two week, preparing for traffic control on Riley between 160th and 152nd.

3/25/15 Update
Pending County Road Commission permit, they plan on starting March 30th on both contracts.
Contract 1, Stage 1, 2 and 3. (3/30 thru early June.)- Perry Street will be closed between 168th and 160th (stage 1)
- 168th will be closed between Perry Street and Lakewood BLVD (stage 2, is some overlap with Stage 1 and Perry Street Closure, Stage 3 is completion with just 168th closed)
- 160th will be closed between James Street and Riley Street (stage 1)
- Riley Street will be closed between 160th and 152nd (stage 2)

1/27/15 Update
Contractor just sent me an e-mail today that they are on site. They plan on working tomorrow and Friday as well, taking Thursday off for safety training. They will be shaping vegetated swale between Greenly and Riley. Next week they plan to finish clearing on 160th.

12/31/14 Update
Completed work this Week:
- Continued clearing on 160th avenue.
- Completed formation of vegetative swale adjacent to pipe between Quincy and Greenly.
- Pipe work and Vegetative swale between Riley and Greenly.
- Clean up of stumps and logs from clearing operation.
- Continue clearing on 160th avenue. (Sub contractor to start removing larger trees on Monday 1/5/15)
- Fine grade Vegetative swales, prepping for topsoil.

- Finished clearing on the South side of Riley up to 160th avenue.
- Started clearing on 160th avenue.
- Almost completed formation of vegetative swale adjacent to pipe between Quincy and Greenly. Anticipated to be complete next week.
- Pipe and structures placed between Riley and Greenly.
- Continue clearing on 160th avenue.

Work after January 1 will be weather dependent, they would like to finish pipe/grading work in easement between Riley and Greenly, and continue with clearing if weather permits. - Finished clearing on the South side of Riley up to 160th avenue.

Completed Work
- Clearing is completed in easement from Greenly to Quincy
- Clearing is almost completed in easement from Riley to Greenly (anticipated to be done on Monday)
- Structures and pipe starting approximately 400’ east of Greenly were placed in easement from greenly to Quincy. (approx 350’ of pipe placed, along with 480’ of perforated pipe for vegetative swale, with associated structures)
- Finish clearing from Riley to Greenly, and continue clearing on the south side of Riley to 160th. (After that the contractor will then clear on 160th to James St.)
- Continue pipe and structure work, and shaping vegetative swale from Greenly to Quincy.

From field conversations, they will start placing storm sewer same location next Tuesday. Starting at Greenly and heading North. They plan on working Monday thru Friday, and weather permitting up to December 23, for work in 2014.
