Ottawa County Treasurer Top Dog & Twinning Photo Contest Official Rules

Upload your photo and complete the entry form from April 1 - May 15, 2017. Alternatively, send a printed, color 4" x 6" photo that is in focus and printed on quality photo paper. Include your name, phone number, pet’s name, age, breed, and the pet’s Ottawa County dog license number written on the back of the photo. Send to: Ottawa County Treasurer. 12220 Fillmore Street, West Olive, 49460. Photos will not be returned. Mailed photos must be received by May 15, 2017 to be eligible for the Contest. The contest voting period will run from May 1 through 11:59pm May 15, 2017. Photo must feature a pet which has a valid Ottawa County dog license. You may enter both the top dog contest and lookalike contest, but you may only win one prize per household will be allowed. The public will choose the winner based on votes. Only one vote per device is allowed. In the event that a household wins multiple places, their redundant win will roll down to the next highest vote-getter. Winners will be selected three ways. First through third place winners will be based upon the number of votes. The Ottawa County Treasurers' Staff will pick an additional winner. Finally, all of the remaining entries will be placed in a drawing to win simply for participating. The winners will be notified by phone or email on May 16 or as soon as possible after May 15. By participating, entrants agree that they have read, agree to, and will follow the Contest rules and, further, these rules and Contest decisions shall be final in all respects. The Ottawa County Treasurer may put the winner’s photo online at the treasurer’s Facebook® page, website, and on public display at the Ottawa County Treasurer’s Office. Each entrant agrees to hold harmless and release the Ottawa County Treasurer, Ottawa County, and any contest sponsors from any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind that may result from taking a photo intended to be submitted. The Ottawa County Treasurer, Ottawa County, and contest sponsors are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected entries or mail; for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this promotion, or by any human error that may occur in the processing of entries; or for loss of or damage to any entries. By participating in the Contest, each entrant grants the Ottawa County Treasurer a royalty-free license to print, display, distribute, or reproduce the photo in any manner deemed appropriate by, and at the sole discretion of, the Ottawa County Treasurer and related offices. The entrant waives any right to dictate or limit the manner in which the Ottawa County Treasurer uses the entrant’s photograph The entrant agrees that any physical reproductions made by or on behalf of the Ottawa County Treasurer of the entrant’s photos continue to be the sole property of the Ottawa County Treasurer and will not be sent to the entrant unless otherwise arranged. Employees, officers, directors, elected officials, contest sponsors, and agents (collectively the "Released Parties"), are held harmless from and against any and all claims, actions and/or liability for any injuries or death, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in and/or entry into the Contest or acceptance or use of any prize, or participation in any Contest related activity, and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, and merchandise delivery.
