In the Kitchen unit we prepare meals and various treats. We practice many different skills useful in the food service business including:
» Learning to take orders by writing the order ticket and taking payment for the daily meal.
» Learning to cook a variety of meals by helping in the preparation.
» Learning how to plan a weekly menu and develop a shopping list based on this menu.
» Practice serving the meal to other members and clearing the tables after the meal.
» Help with cleaning up the kitchen by doing dishes, cleaning, the counters, and the stove.
» Helping keep our Clubhouse looking great by participating in various cleaning tasks around the Clubhouse.
