This program helps to ensure that returning prisoners in Ottawa County avoid homelessness through access to permanent, safe and affordable housing, or services that help achieve permanent housing.

Returning prisoners have access to employment and training services that help secure stable employment.

Community Action Agency will assist eligible parolees with first month’s rent, reducing the percentage of assistance over three to four months until participant is paying 100% of his/her own rent.

Each participant must be employed and have sustainable income, proving they can afford their housing. CAA will not pay a security deposit. CAA will meet with participants to help with budgeting and to verify self-sustainability.

Men and women paroled in Ottawa County and identified as eligible prior to release from prison.
