English As A Second Language

The English as a Second Language program at Michigan Works! provides a supportive learning setting for non-native speakers of English who need to improve language and cultural competencies.

To enroll for ESL please call Christana Quimby at (616) 494-8803 or Bob Allen at at (616) 494-8846. You can also walk in to the Michigan Works! building at 121 Clover Street, Holland.

Bob teaches the course and accepts walk-ins for the ESL program. The program is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome to register beginning at 10:00 a.m. and can join the class at that time.

Enrollment is open year round. New enrollments will be accepted at any time if the class has room available.

Classes are provided at Michigan Works! 121 Clover Street, Holland, 49424 Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Classes are self-paced on the computer using teaching software. Students of all ages can register at any time to begin the course. The timing of course completion is individual and is based upon the knowledge and motivation of the student. The only limit to class size is the number of computers, which is 18.
