For Business
If you are a company needing to train a group of people, we can help. If you need only one employee trained, we can help with that, too.
Michigan Works! has Incumbent Worker grants that are used to help companies train employees to increase necessary skills for new technology or processes. These grants are limited and are given on a need basis. The grants must also be matched dollar-for-dollar by the company that is requesting the grant. Call your Business Services Unit representative at (616) 396-2154 for a consultation.
Additionally Michigan Works! partners - and often helps set the curriculum - for local and regional training centers. We speak with businesses to determine which industries need what types of skills, and work with centers of education to gear training towards those positions.
