Mission Statement
The mission of Ottawa County Parenting Plus is to: Provide comprehensive case management and early intervention to families at risk of child abuse and neglect. Maximize child and family well being through parenting and child development education. Prevent family dysfunction through support of positive family relationships and community involvement. Empower families to solve their own problems and to establish and pursue their goals.
Department Overview
Parenting Plus is a countywide home-based parent education and early intervention program offering support and education to multi-challenged county families. Regularly scheduled home visits are the modality through which services are provided to those enrolled.
Parenting Plus provides a continuum of relationship-based services.
Goals are established with each family based on their questions/needs and the age of their child/ren. A variety of curriculums and materials are utilized to meet the diverse goals and needs of the families. Duration and intensity of services are based upon family need and/or request.
Services in Spanish are available in the greater Holland area.
