Parenting Plus
Eligibility
- Families residing in Ottawa County with children age one to age four
- Families struggling to live with limited financial resources
- Families with issues of abuse or neglect including Protective Service or Foster Care involvement
- Parents interested in learning about realistic expectations and the development of young children
- Parents of young children with sleeping, developmental or feeding issues
- Families looking for new ideas about parenting which are different than what they experienced as children
- Parents and their children with a history of separation and loss
- Families experiencing extreme stress or social isolation
- Parents looking for ways to bring positive rituals and routines; as well as security into the lives of their young children
- Parents struggling to combine parenting and employment
- Families seeking services in the community for themselves and their children to support their healthy growth, financial wellbeing and overall stability
All families must meet eligibility criteria # 1 and #2, or #3. Priority is given to families facing the largest challenges as well as referrals from the Department of Human Services.
Referral Process
To make inquires regarding eligibility or discuss potential involvement in Parenting Plus, call or e-mail the Program Coordinator.
To make a referral:
- Call or e-mail the Program Coordinator
- Fill out a referral form available through the Parenting Plus Office
- Fax, e-mail or mail in the referral form
