Outdoors Ottawa County is the quarterly newsletter of the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission. The free newsletter includes articles on parks and current projects as well as the full schedule of interpretive programs, field trips and activities. To be placed on the newsletter mailing list, contact the county parks office.

Brochures

Ottawa County Parks - This full color brochure describes all the county parks and includes a location map. It also includes information and locations for Open Space Lands. Fish Ottawa County - All the information needed by those who enjoy fishing in Ottawa County is included in this brochure including boat launches, access points, charters and more. Winter Fun - Cross country ski trails in West Michigan are described and mapped in this brochure that also gives details on Pigeon Creek Park and Hemlock Crossing/Pine Bend.
Bicycle The Lakeshore - Over 100 miles of bicycle trails in Ottawa County are described and mapped in this brochure. A must for those planning a bicycling trip. Musketawa Trail - This brochure, including a map, describes the Musketawa Trail which is a 26 mile paved recreational trail from Marne to Muskegon. Information on the Friends of the Musketawa Trail is also included. Dog Policy - Many people enjoy walking their dog along trails or taking their dog to a beach. In order to accommodate this use, while respecting the rights of other park users, Ottawa County Parks has the following rules regarding dogs.
