Spring Grove Park Trellis
Features
Information:
The Trellis is a unique facility designed for weddings and other ceremonial functions. Capacity of the Trellis and surrounding area is limited to 150 persons. The Trellis is wheelchair accessible. It is not intended for use as a group picnic facility or for other functions where food and beverages are served (i.e. no food allowed in Trellis area). The Trellis is available to reserve from early May through mid-October. Before and after this time period, the Trellis is available on a first-come basis and the Picnic Building is closed. Reservation of the Trellis includes the use of half of the Spring Grove Picnic Building. Your reservation does not include the entire lower spring area. The general public will have access to the spring and other portions of the lower area.
The Picnic Building is ideal for use as a staging area for Trellis functions or for food and refreshments. The Picnic Building can be divided into two sections. Section A is on the north side and has a kitchen while Section B is on the south side and has a fireplace. If you desire exclusive use of the Picnic Building for your event or if you expect more than 50 guests, you should reserve the entire Picnic Building. Please be aware that (unless you have reserved the entire Picnic Building) another group may have the other half of the Picnic Building reserved during the same time period. This other group, however, would not have access to the Trellis during the same time period.

Seating
is not provided with your reservation. Ottawa County has approved one chair
rental vendor for vehicle access to the area for chair drop-off and pickup.
This vendor has been selected based on price and ability to provide service.
Contact the county park office for vendor information. If you wish to use
another chair source, chairs must be hand-carried to the trellis. No vehicle
access is permitted. Note that chairs must be removed immediately following
your event to allow preparation for upcoming events. This is very important
to successful operation of the facility and your cooperation is requested.- Every effort is made to maintain the Trellis area in the highest quality manner possible. The area is normally mowed late in the week prior to weekend reservations. Please note that plantings throughout the lower spring area are intended to have a naturalized appearance and are not highly maintained planting beds.
- Your reservation will not include reserved parking for your group. We suggest arriving early as parking spaces cannot be reserved.
