The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office receives requests by businesses, places of worship, schools, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course was developed by ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) and provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age; please bring pictured ID such as a driver's license or state-issued identification.

Main Conference Room

Park in Lot C

[Note: This training is also referred to as Citizen Response to Active Shooter Events and titles may be used interchangeably. ]
