Nationally-acclaimed speaker Charles Marohn will explore issues relating to development patterns, infrastructure, financial resiliency, and quality placemaking practices in local communities. This all-day workshop will open up new ways of thinking about development by examining both new concepts and old-but-forgotten concepts and will be beneficial to local elected officials, planning commissions, zoning board members, municipal staff, road commission staff, public works staff, DDA board members, economic developers and others. Join us following the event at Grand Armory Brewing for refreshments, casual conversation, and a chance to network and connect with your fellow attendees. By participating in this workshop, you can receive two AICP continuing education credits. To ensure that you receive the appropriate credit, please select the "Attendee with CEU" option when you register. This workshop is made possible through the support of the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners, and in cooperation with the Ottawa County Planning Commission and the City of Grand Haven.
