The Ottawa County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee is the principle economic development strategy group for the area known as Region 8. This committee is a sub-committee of the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission, as authorized by the Michigan Regional Planning Act (P.A. 281 of 1945, as amended). It is comprised of two members who are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners. Members of this board serve 1-year terms and meet quarterly at the Ottawa County Fillmore Street complex.
