If you have a new or unexplained rash or other symptoms of MPV, such as fever, chills, exhaustion or other flu-like symptoms, call your health care provider or go to urgent care for testing for MPV. If you cannot do either of those, contact the health department at 616 396-5266.
The CDC recommends vaccination for people who have been exposed to MPV, but supply is currently limited. If you believe you have been exposed to MPV, contact your health care provider or the health department to see whether you qualify for vaccination.
