The West Michigan Regional Planning Commission (WMRPC) is responsible for assisting planning efforts in community and economic development, providing a regional forum for sharing information and ideas, and promoting cooperative solutions to regional issues. This Commission is authorized by the Michigan Regional Planning Act (P.A. 281 of 1945, as amended). It is comprised of 2 members that are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners. Members of this board serve 1-year terms and meet quarterly.
