Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, December 7, 2018. All applicants' names are a matter of public information and interviews will be conducted in an open meeting. Interested parties may also call the Office of the County Clerk/Register's Office at (616) 846-8107 or (616) 994-4537 for any additional information. There is a Selection Committee Meeting scheduled for Monday, December 10, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the County Clerk/Register's Office, 12220 Fillmore Street, West Olive, Michigan.

Ottawa County Treasurer Brad Slagh was elected to the State House of Representatives on November 6 to serve the 90th District. Slagh will serve Ottawa County as Treasurer until December 31, 2018.

The County Treasurer is a member of the County Elections Commission, County Plat Board, County Tax Allocation Board, County Apportionment Commission, Ottawa County Economic Development Corporation, Ottawa County Michigan Insurance Authority, Technology Advisory Group and chair of Ottawa County Land Bank Authority.
