The Walk For Warmth is an annual event that raises money to keep the heat on for families in Ottawa County who have received a utility shut-off notice for gas, electric, water and deliverable fuels like propane and fuel old. The Walk is organized by the Ottawa County Community Action Agency (OCCAA) and is an open event where all are welcome whether they contribute financially or note. Registration required.

The Indoor Market will be held inside the Holland Civic Center Place at 150 West 8th Street. Over 25 vendors will be participating in the Winter Market throughout the season, providing customers with a wide product assortment of fresh produce and locally-produced foods to choose from, including winter and greenhouse grown produce, bread and other baked goods, sweet treats, honey and maple syrup, jams, coffee, bottled juices, meat and seafood, quiche, cheese and much, much more. As always, shopping earlier in the morning is recommended for the best product selection. Patrons are reminded to bring cash for all transactions, though an onsite ATM is available for those that need it. Bridge Cards and Double Up Food Bucks will be accepted at the Winter Market. Market Bucks gift certificates and official Market tote bags will be available for purchase as well. Absolutely no pets are allowed at the Indoor Winter Market or inside the Holland Civic Center Place.

What night sky constellations can you see in the spring sky? This one-hour indoor program will highlight some of the more notable spring constellations and the stories associated with them. After the presentation, the Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association (SAAA) will have the observatory open and telescopes available for night sky observing (weather permitting). Registration not required but appreciated.
St. Patrick’s Parade Scavenger Hunt – March 11

The Holland Youth Advisory Council (HYAC) is sponsoring a Scavenger Hunt at the St. Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 11th immediately following the parade. This event is free and for all ages. You can pick up your clues in front of The Curragh from 11:00 till noon or from HYAC students walking up and down 8th Street. Immediately after the parade, you can follow the clues to stores or restaurants on 8th Street where a HYAC student will hand out candy or trinkets and stamp your clue card. The first 10 winners to get all their stamps will receive a gift card from a local merchant. Ádh mór!
